Enhancing students' artistry, The Students' Herald (TSH) inaugurated its Trumotion seminar-workshop, bringing together editors, creative directors, and media officers from various councils and organizations of PHINMA University of Pangasinan, held on October 17, 2026, at the College of Management and Accountancy Collapsible Room, 4th floor.
“Consistency does not mean that your designs look identical. It means the design should feel like they belong to the same brand.” said Ms. Janelle Estrada during discussion on Graphics Fundamentals.
With the theme, “Bringing the Truth with Graphics”, Trumotion included a workshop contest for graphic design making after the morning session and static to motion in the afternoon.
“Animation applied to motion graphics easily appeals. It delivers charm and style like a well-balanced visual personality to captivate the audience.” stated Mrs. Fairlin Lavaro Victoria on Animation Principles Applied to Motion Graphics lecture.
In the graphic design competition, Mackoy Villena clinched first place, followed by Glynel Almazan in second and Remuelzan Menor in third.
Further, Russel Vinz Vinuya topped the static to motion workshop, with Sean Andre Oganiza securing second place and Mary Ann Quintino placing third.
“We are reminded that graphics are more than just designs, they are powerful tools that convey messages, influence perspectives, and make stories more meaningful.” TSH Editor-in-Chief Mr. Clarenz Magalong mentioned in opening remarks.
Life's Sound Society hyped up the participants before the seminar started, while an icebreaker in the afternoon energized the crowd.
Mr. Denzel Benavides and Ms. Airish Aquino, Trumotion chairpersons, encouraged student creatives to apply their learnings and not just create designs, but outputs worth sharing.
