College of Engineering and Architecture (CEA) towers of PHINMA University of Pangasinan (UPang) honored its board examination topnotchers and passers during its celebration themed “Legacy of CEA: Carrying Excellence Forward” on October 15, highlighted by a motorcade and recognition ceremony at the university gymnasium.

Among those recognized were Civil Engineering graduates Engr. Marc Nelson Rosario and Engr. Ericson Abalos, who placed fifth and third, respectively, in the September 2026 Civil Engineers Licensure Examination (CELE), earning national recognition for their performance.

The celebration also recognized graduates from CEA’s engineering and architecture programs who passed their respective licensure examinations across different examination schedules in 2026.

UPang Chief Operating Officer (COO) Lyndon G. Padama delivered a message during the program, congratulating the honorees and emphasizing the importance of professional achievement and carrying forward the college’s legacy.

“Let this testimonial be a remembrance, a reminder to everyone: you belong here, you are capable, your turn is coming,” Padama said.

The program also featured messages from Engr. Rosario and Engr. Abalos, who shared their experiences and reflections on their achievements in the September 2026 CELE.

Engr. Rosario, who secured fifth place, acknowledged the people who supported and encouraged him throughout his journey.

“I believe in myself because many people believe in me. It is not easy to walk, but in every step, you are always there to guide me. At times when I doubt myself, you are the ones who remind me that I can do it,” Engr. Rosario said.

Following Engr. Rosario’s message, Engr. Abalos, who clinched third place, shared an encouraging message for aspiring engineers and architects.

“Dear future engineers and architects, you will be brave—brave to learn, brave to dream, and brave to serve,” Engr. Abalos said.

Beyond the two CELE topnotchers, the university recognized board passers from CEA’s various engineering and architecture programs, including Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Architecture.

The recognition program culminated in an awarding ceremony, during which Engr. Rosario and Engr. Abalos received checks in acknowledgment of their fifth-place and third-place finishes, respectively. Their parents joined them during the presentation.

Following the awarding ceremony, Engr. Antonio Bianan, who ranked first nationwide in his board examination in 1981, arrived at the event, underscoring CEA’s longstanding legacy of producing topnotchers and outstanding engineering professionals.

The program concluded with a closing message from Assistant Dean Engr. Keno Brian C. Ramirez, followed by the UPang Hymn and a group photo with the honorees and attendees.
