CEA department recognizes student excellence in Success Ladder ’26

College of Engineering and Architecture (CEA) of PHINMA University of Pangasinan (UPang) held the CEA Success Ladder 2026 on September 3, at CSI Stadia, bringing together students, faculty members, university officials, guests, and students and their families for a ceremony celebrating another year of academic excellence.

Engineer Lyndon G. Padama, Chief Operating Officer of PHINMA UPang, welcomed the awardees and guests.

Engineer John T. Zamora, Deans of the College of Engineering and Architecture of PEN Schools, introduced the much-awaited guest speaker of the Success Ladder, Architect Merian V. Valencia, President of the United Architects of the Philippines SCALE Chapter.

“Excellence does not mean being perfect, it means continuously being better. Always ask yourself, "Can I be better?” stated Ar. Valencia.

Ar. Valencia reiterated to the student body that their dream becomes reality through commitment, adding that commitment keeps them moving forward. 

“Dream big, but commit bigger,” Ar. Valencia added.

COO Engineer Padama, Assistant COO, Assistant Dean, and respective Program Heads, presented the hard hats to students from BS Architecture, BS Civil Engineering, BS Computer Engineering, BS Electrical Engineering, and BS Mechanical Engineering. 

Certificates were handed to BS Architecture students, while awarding of pins were given to students from BS Architecture, BS Civil Engineering, BS Computer Engineering, BS Electronics Engineering, BS Electrical Engineering, and BS Mechanical Engineering.

Certificates were also given to recognized Excellence Awardees: Jay A. Mendoza (BSAR), Jasmine Kaye D. Mendoza (BSCE), Katrina Kate D. Ferrer (BSCpE), Darold Lawrence P. Ramos (BSECE), Dan Steven R. Tawatao (BSEE), and Ranea Q. Pontrivida (BSME). 

Dan Steven R. Tawatao, the Top Excellence Awardee and an Electrical Engineering student, delivered a message capturing the dedication and hardwork on behalf of the awardees.

The program also recognized CEA organization presidents and the CEA Student Council for their contributions to the student community. 

CEA Success Ladder 2026 marked another milestone for students and their parents, highlighting that success is built through commitment, perseverance, and excellence.
