FORGED BY SERVICE: Sinayon ‘26 Lauds SLs; TSH bags 3 awards

Paying homage to a prosperous academic year and unwavering service, Sinayon: The Golden Flame 2026 convened student leaders from Local Student Councils (LSCs), Registered Student Organizations (RSOs), and University-wide Organizations (UWOs) at the university gymnasium on June 3, 2026, to celebrate excellence in leadership, service, and student engagement.

The event was set in motion with Ms. Carmela M. De Perio, Supreme Student Council Adviser’s opening remarks, followed by Ms. Catherine R. Garcia, PHINMA University of Pangasinan Chief Operating Officer (COO) solidarity message.

“So today, your term may be ending, or beginning, but just the same, your journey as leaders is only beginning, and may the lessons you have learned, the relationships that you build, and the trust you have earned will accompany you wherever life takes you,” COO Garcia said, reminding the student leaders that leadership goes beyond title and position.

During the event, The Students Herald, the official student publication of PHINMA University of Pangasinan, earned three recognitions: Outstanding University-Wide Organization (UWO) with a score of 86.75%, while outgoing Editor-in-Chief Mark Daniel L. Barcelona received the Supreme PHINMA Education Network (PEN) Value: Integrity Award with 84.75% and the Noble Leadership Award with 90.50%.

Along with PEN Values awardee per organization, the following student leaders received their accolades for a year of excellence, leadership, and service.

Thereafter, Robert Louise R. Gabiola, outgoing Supreme Student Council (SSC) President presented their end-of-term service report, recollecting events, memorandums, and programs for academic year 2025 - 2026.

“All the activities of the council might be worthy of celebration, but you know what? The most important thing to be celebrated right now is you,” Pres. Robert emphasized, paying tribute to all student leaders.

Symbolizing the transition to a new era, outgoing heads of respective student councils and organizations commenced the turnover ceremony along with their successor.
The event concluded with a community night, celebrating success, dedication, and sacrifices of student leaders and a new legacy ahead.
