Excellence in numbers: Batch 2026 yields 2982 grads

Exemplifying excellence in their success journeys, PHINMA University of Pangasinan (UPang) proudly celebrated 2982 tertiary graduates from the Class of 2026 during its annual Commencement Rites held at the CSI Stadia on June 16-17, 2025.s

Garbed in their corporate attire, uniforms, and sablays, the ceremony commenced with graduates grouped across three batches: Batch 1 — College of Management and Accountancy, College of Hospitality and Tourism Management; Batch 2 — College of Engineering and Architecture, College of Education and Liberal Arts, College of Information Technology Education; and Batch 3 — College of Allied Health Sciences, College of Criminal Justice Education.

In his President's Address, PHINMA UPang President Christopher A. Tan recognized the collective effort behind the graduates' achievements, remarking, "The past four years haven't been easy, but you need to know, your children worked hard because they love you. This day belongs to you as much as it belongs to them,"

The commencement rites also featured notable alumni who shared their journeys to inspire the graduates, including Ms. Ruthsen Mae Barte Campos-Darusin (BSTourism Management Batch 2016), CPT Jomarc Stan V. Vidal, (BS Information Technology Batch 2009), and Mr. Karl Michael V. Pasag, RMT, MD, (BS Medical Laboratory Science Batch 2015.)

Class Valedictorian, Reymar Vincent "Alluka" S. Vidal, reminded her fellow graduates that their journeys reflect a collective growth and resilience, urging them not to invalidate their struggles and to recognize their worth and achievements.

Beyond the conferral of diplomas, Latin honors, and recognition of students who had already passed Licensure examinations prior to graduation, the ceremony marked a significant rite of passage, signaling both the culmination of academic pursuits and the beginning of new chapters beyond the academe.
