Reinforcing Bonds, Towers Assemble at CEAmustahan ’26

Interlocking toward one central vision, to be Angat at Sikat amongst the community, College of Engineering and Architecture (CEA) students converged at the university gymnasium for the CEAmustahan General Assembly 2026 on July 30, 2026.

Spearheaded by the CEA Student Council (CEASC), CEAmustahan 2026 brought together first-year Engineering and Architecture students under the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), alongside second- to fifth-year students, for their newest CEAdventure.

The general assembly featured two notable speakers. During the morning session catering to first-year CAS-CEA students, Engr. Reynold M. Agustin, president and founder of Calculator Mathematics, instructed students on how to maximize the use of their calculators through the Karce Technique Seminar.

Meanwhile, during the afternoon session for upperclassmen, Mr. Michael John C. Maquiling, Supervising Science and Research Specialist of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Pangasinan, discussed how being identified as a country with the highest disaster risk index calls for future builders to take initiative in innovation even before graduating from college.

“Your project does not have to end after your final defense. Hopefully hindi ganoon yung nangyayari, hindi natitira sa mga shelves yung gawa natin, bagkus ito ay naaapply natin, naiimplement natin sa mga target universities ng mga study natin,” Maquiling added, inspiring students to use science and technology ethically.

He emphasized further that innovation does not always have to be complicated or expensive, as it can be simple, low-cost, and practical, as long as it addresses a much-needed problem.
Featuring a significant milestone, second-year students donned their CAS shirts over their CEA shirts before simultaneously removing them, signaling their transition to their mother college as sophomores.

Mapping out successful activities and ongoing initiatives, Gabriel Victorio, CEASC Governor, showcased the council’s current and future programs during his State of the Council Address, including BUKASTALA: TRANSPARENCEASC

“Every council we celebrate today carries a greater responsibility for tomorrow. The work of this council does not end with accomplishments. It continues with a commitment to create more opportunities, strengthen student representation, and ensure that every CEA student has the support that they deserve,” Gov. Victorio stated, reaffirming the council’s vow to uphold the Angat at Sikat mantra of the community.

Moreover, a speech from Center for Student Development and Leadership Director Adele S. Traspe, represented by Mr. David Matthew Vernaes, was followed by a talk with General Services Department Engr. Bryan S. Pepito, represented by Mr. Roberto G. Aguimbag. The sessions provided students with basic knowledge about the university while addressing their concerns and inquiries through a faculty-led question-and-answer session.

Marking the end of the celebration, the community rejoiced with a more ignited drive toward commitment, excellence, and achievement. As the days count, third- to fifth-year students now await the highlight of their academic stretch—the CEA Success Ladder 2026.
