Star Save
โ€œWhat will they say?โ€
A question so simple, yet so hard to convey
Because in every step, in every choice
I feel like Iโ€™m losing my voice.

I mastered the art of hiding well,
Kept myself hidden, like a turtle in a shell
As I bury different parts of me,
I was also losing my identity.

Prejudice is an enemy of understanding,
Where acceptance feels like unlearning.
It hits like poison, slow and deep,
Until your heart starts to weep.

And in the silence of the night,
Where no oneโ€™s wrong and right.
A question is etched into my mind:

Do I have to leave my true self behind?

When I start living for their praises,
And get scared of their judgmental gazes,
When can I listen to what my heart says?
Am I not allowed to choose my own ways?

Because my heart is tired of shrinking,
And listen to what theyโ€™re thinking.
Because their thoughts werenโ€™t the enemy,
It was being afraid of what they think of me.

It was the day I looked within,
And let their loud voices settle in.
The day their judgment became my name,
And looked at myself with shame.

But I am more than what they see,
More than their words will ever be.
My worth was never theirs to weigh,
No matter what they choose to say.
